Hazardous Material Found in Residential Unit at HMAS Cerberus

A routine inspection this morning of on-base accommodation in Australian Navy’s HMAS Cerberus has resulted in hazardous material being located in a residential unit.

As a precaution, a 400 metre safety zone has been established around the accommodation block.

Victoria Police are in attendance and a Defence member is assisting them with their inquiries.
