French Navy’s Vessels Enter Persian Gulf

After patrolling the Gulf of Aden and the northern Indian Ocean, the French Navy’s Task Force 473 sailed through the Strait of Hormuz on Sunday, February 15.

The Task Group, built around the Charles de Gaulle aircraft carrier, is now sailing in the Persian Gulf. Here, the Group is expected to join the Task Force 50 and operate alongside the US Navy’s Carl Vinson Carrier Strike Group.

As part of the mission Arromanches, the vessels visited Manama, Bahrain.
