Bilateral Exercise Noble Melinda 2015 Ends

Maritime forces from the U.S. and Israeli navies concluded the annual bilateral exercise Noble Melinda 2015 in the Mediterranean Sea off the coast of Haifa, Israel July 23, 2015.

Noble Melinda was designed to increase interoperability by developing individual and collective maritime proficiencies of participating nations, and to promote friendship mutual understanding and cooperation. The exercise helped create an environment that promoted maritime safety and security in the region.

Now in its 14th year, the exercise focused on explosive ordinance disposal , diving and salvage operations, recompression chamber operations, and other underwater operations.
