No evidence of shooting at Naval Medical Center San Diego

The U.S Naval Medical Center at San Diego, California reported an active shooter in the Navy yard at about 8 am (Pacific Standard Time) on January 26.

“An active shooter has just been been reported in building #26 at Naval Medical Center San Diego. All occupants are advised to run, hide or fight. All non-emergency response personnel are asked to stay away from the compound, located at 34800 Bob Wilson Drive, San Diego, CA 92134”, said the medical center through their official Facebook page.

SWAT and police units were immediately deployed to the site but they found no evidence of shooting after a number of clearance sweeps.

U.S. Navy Captain Curt Jones told reporters that there were absolutely no casualties at the site and that the military will continue to search the building despite of the fact that no evidence of shooting has been found so far.
