With an estimated value of around €320 million, the contract represents a continuation of cooperation between Leonardo, EDGE Group and Abu Dhabi Ship Building. The companies have collaborated for more than 20 years on naval programs, including the delivery of over 25 naval vessels.

The agreement is also expected to support further industrial cooperation between Leonardo and EDGE Group, including plans related to a potential future joint venture. Existing contracts and ongoing programs form part of the company’s broader naval defense activities.

Under the agreement, Leonardo, together with EDGE and ADSB, will provide integrated naval capabilities covering areas such as system integration and the delivery of naval platforms.

To remind, ADSB launched the first Al-Dorra-class offshore patrol vessel, AL NOUKHITHA, for Kuwait in February this year. The Al-Dorra-class vessels are designed to provide enhanced maritime security and operational flexibility.
