General Dynamics Secures USS Boxer Contract Worth Up to USD 14.92 Million

 

General Dynamics National Steel and Shipbuilding Co., San Diego, Calif., is being awarded a $14,925,071 modification to previously awarded contract (N00024-07-C-4013) for the USS Boxer (LHD 4) fiscal 2012 phased maintenance availabilities (PMA).  

A PMA includes the planning and execution of depot-level maintenance, alterations, and modifications that will update and improve the ship’s military and technical capabilities.

Work will be performed in San Diego, Calif., and is expected to be completed by May 2012.  Contract funds in the amount of $14,925,071 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year.

The Southwest Regional Maintenance Center, San Diego, Calif., is the contracting activity.
