The agreement was signed on June 19 during the Eurosatory defense exhibition in Paris by Terma CEO Henriette Hallberg Thygesen and MBDA CEO Eric Béranger. The signing ceremony was attended by Denmark’s Minister for Business and Competitiveness, Martin Lidegaard, and French Minister Delegate for Industry, Sébastien Martin.

According to the companies, the partnership builds on an existing relationship and expands cooperation beyond traditional industrial participation. The agreement includes joint development activities in the naval sector and focuses on developing new solutions intended to enhance air defense and maritime security capabilities for allied nations.

The cooperation is expected to generate development, integration, and production activities across Terma’s facilities in Lystrup, Søborg, and Grenaa, while also involving Danish industrial partners. The companies said the partnership will support specialized employment and contribute to the long-term development of Denmark’s defense industrial base.

Terma stated that the agreement represents a significant step in its efforts to expand its role within the European defense sector and gain access to new international opportunities through MBDA’s global network.

MBDA said the agreement marks the beginning of a long-term cooperation with Terma and the wider Danish defense industry, reflecting the company’s focus on collaborative development of defense technologies and capabilities.

The partnership combines MBDA’s expertise in missile systems with Terma’s maritime systems capabilities, contributing to efforts to strengthen Europe’s defense technological and industrial base amid increasing demand for enhanced defense readiness and security cooperation across the continent.
