As disclosed, the agreements were signed during the Eurosatory defense exhibition in Paris, further expanding industrial involvement in Croatia’s future Gowind corvette program.

The agreements were concluded in coordination with the Croatian Chamber of Economy and are focused on equipment supply and integration into Naval Group’s broader industrial and innovation ecosystem. Both Croatian companies said the cooperation will enable them to contribute to naval technologies and participate in future supply chain opportunities tied to the program.

The partnerships are linked to Naval Group’s proposal to supply Croatia with Gowind-class multi-mission surface combatants. The program envisions significant local participation, including domestic construction activities in Croatia and long-term industrial support throughout the vessels’ lifecycle.

According to Naval Group, the Gowind design is a family of multi-mission surface combatants intended for a wide range of naval operations, including maritime security, surveillance, surface warfare, anti-submarine warfare, and air defense. The vessels are designed around a modular architecture and an integrated combat management system, allowing adaptation to different operational requirements.

The proposed Croatian configuration is based on the Gowind-class corvette, which is typically in the 100-meter class and features reduced radar signature design principles, advanced sensors, and flexible weapon integration options. The platform can also support helicopters and unmanned systems, depending on customer requirements.

Last year, Naval Group signed the MoUs with AITAC, Adria Winch and CoE MARBLE  to contribute to the program.

Gowind corvette design has been selected by four navies, including Egypt, the UAE, Malaysia and Romania. If Croatia proceeds with the HRM program, it would become the fifth operator of the Gowind design.
