Royal Navy's Submarine Returns to Devonport, UK

Talent sailed in the new year completing her Basic Operational Sea Training in short order and achieved a Very Satisfactory assessment from by the staff of Flag Officer Sea Training (FOST) – the Royal Navy’s training organisation. A brief period alongside Devonport followed before HMS Talent made her return to operations by crossing the equator and entering the Southern Hemisphere.

Taking a break from operations, HMS Talent paid a visit to Simon’s Town, South Africa, the first visit from a UK submarine since 2010, furthering relations with the South African Navy and allowing the Ship’s Company a well deserved run ashore.

So far this year, Talent has logged over 20000 Nautical Miles and now enters a Long Assisted Maintenance Period (LAMP) in preparation for further operations later this year.
