Male Sea Cadet Assessment Camp - 2013 Concludes

The Male Sea Cadet Assessment Camp – 2013, which was held at the Naval and Maritime Academy in Trincomalee, concluded on 18th June 2013. Director of the National Cadet Corps, Major General GBW Jayasundara participated as the Chief Guest.

The Naval Wing of the National Cadet Corps, which was started in 2008, has now 180 platoons covering the whole island.

Ananda College from 03rd Battalion won the first place this year scoring 1250.5 marks. Kandy St. Sylvester’s College from the 02nd Battalion won the second place.

Two Cadet Bands and the Navy’s Western and Cultural Band presented a colourful show at the concluding ceremony. Senior officers from the Eastern Naval Command and the National Cadet Corps, the principals and teachers from the schools and parents were present on the occasion.
