Sri Lanka Navy Arrests 10 Persons Engaged in Illegal Fishing
Rapid Action Boat Squadron (RABS) craft, Z 225 and Z 230 attached to the Naval Deployment Nayaru of the Eastern Naval Command with the assistance of Mullaithivu District fisheries officials arrested 10 persons engaged in illegal fishing 4.5 nautical miles east of Kokilai on 04th September 2013.
The arrested persons along with 04 FGDs, 04 Suzuki OBMs, 03 generators, 06 re-chargeable lamps, 02 patrol max lamps and a purse seine in their possession were handed over to Mullaithivu Assistance Fisheries Director for further investigations.
