Russia Deploys Aircraft Carriers to Atlantic and Mediterranean Sea

Russian Northern Fleet’s aircraft carriers have deployed to the Atlantic and the Mediterranean Sea today, as reported by the Russia Beyond the Headlines.

Northern Fleet Captain 1st Rank, Vadim Serga said that the group has deployed to maintain Russian naval presence in crucial parts of the global ocean.

The group includes various support vessels, heavy aircraft carrying cruiser Admiral Kuznetsov, anti-submarine ship Admiral Levchenko, assault ship Olenegorsky Gornyak and rescue towboat Nikolai Chiker.

The Northern Fleet’s ships will hold a series of maneuvers including aircraft exercises.
